Which team should sign Blake Griffin?

Detroit Bad Boys

Things did not end in spectacular fashion for Blake Griffin and the Detroit Pistons. Griffin spent least season hobbled, losing, shut down and then the Pistons were so bad that the team wasn’t even invited to compete in the bubble. This season, Griffin has looked like a shadow of his former self. Missing the power and athleticism of his younger days, he struggled to outmuscle people on the block, couldn’t drive to the basket and couldn’t even get lift on his jump shot.

That doesn’t mean that Griffin is completely done, or that Pistons fans aren’t excited to see him catch on with a contending team in hopes he can compete for a title and re-establish his career.

After reaching a buyout with the Detroit Pistons, Griffin is an unrestricted free agent free to sign with any club. Already, there are reports of several teams interested including the Golden State Warriors, his hometown LA Lakers and Clippers, the Miami Heat and the latest superteam the Brooklyn Nets.

More interested teams might emerge in the coming hours and days. That leaves me wondering who Pistons fans are hoping Griffin signs with, assuming you’re still rooting for his success.

The two factors would be, which team do you think could best utilize the current iteration of Griffin and help put him in spots to succeed and who has the best shot at a title.

It seems as if the best version of Griffin at this point is likely a small-ball center off the bench who can stay near the rim on defense and won’t have to chase someone around the perimeter endlessly. On offense, he can use his superior footwork, his expert passing and hopefully a more reliable jump shot to stretch defenses.

Of any of the teams listed above, or any team not yet named, which makes the most sense?
