Pistons vs. Magic GameThread: Summer League wraps up and both squads going deep into their bench

Detroit Bad Boys

The Detroit Pistons are wrapping up Summer League action, but you will not see many of the familiar faces you’re used to with the team opting to sit Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey and Killian Hayes from the starting lineup, and it’s unclear who is actually going to get off the bench for Detroit.

I’m sure the Orlando Magic are in much the same boat. At this point you’ve seen everything you could see out of the guys who matter on your roster, and this final game is an opportunity to reward some of the other players who have worked hard at the end of the bench.

It’s also an opportunity for them to get some extended run and perhaps show something on tape that could attract interest from G League teams and overseas squads as they look to continue their professional careers.

I will personally be rooting for a game free of injuries and, if I can be a little selfish, maybe a highlight dunk or two.

Anyone interest you as candidates for the Motor City Cruise? Feeeeel the excitement!
