Detroit Pistons (15-51) vs. Charlotte Hornets (21-46)
When: 7 p.m. Thursday.
Where: Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
TV: Bally Sports Detroit.
Radio: 97.1 FM (Pistons radio affiliates).
Betting line: Hornets by 4½.
Game notes: The Pistons are on an NBA-high nine-game losing streak and own the league’s worst record. They’ve all but locked up the best odds at landing the No. 1 pick in May’s draft lottery. The Pistons have been shorthanded the past week and more, but are expected to return Jalen Duren (ankle) and Killian Hayes (hand). Isaiah Stewart, Bojan Bogdanovic, Alec Burks and Hamidou Diallo are all out. … The Hornets held off a Pistons rally, 117-106, on Feb. 27 in Charlotte, but lost LaMelo Ball (broken ankle) for the season during that game. Follow game updates below.
The Pistons will honor the WNBA-champion 2003 Detroit Shock as part of the organization’s “Women’s Empowerment Game” at Thursday’s game. The Shock, under coach Bill Laimbeer, were led by Swin Cash, Deanna Nolan and Cheryl Ford.
