The Detroit Pistons face the Orlando Magic tonight. Let’s talk about it. I’m belatedly writing this at halftime with the Pistons facing down a 19-point deficit against a young, superior Magic team. Detroit only managed to convert on three field goals in the entire second quarter. It’s as bleak as could be.

Orlando is hitting 56% from the field and 56% from three. Presumptive Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero has 13 points. Pistons rookie Jaden Ivey has nine points, but is hitting just 3-of-9 from the field. Sigh …
