Jerami Grant is destroying the Boston Celtics.
And he put one Celtic on a poster Friday night.
Grant, the Detroit Pistons‘ big free agency signing in November, continued his hot start as a Piston, driving from the 3-point line down the right side and slamming all over the 6-foot-8 Daniel Theis, Boston’s starting big man.
It was the highlight of the Pistons’ impressive first half, as they try to upset the Celtics (3-2) for their first win of the young season. They led, 27-12, after the first quarter, and upped the lead to 36-15 early in the second quarter, holding a 55-40 halftime lead at Little Caesars Arena.
LIKES AND DISLIKES: Pistons’ Josh Jackson might be the steal of free agency
WINDSOR: Pistons aren’t winning, but they’re showing they nailed draft, free agency
Grant’s dunk was part of an 18-point first-half performance, shooting 7-for-11 overall and 2-for-4 from 3-point range.

Through four games, the 26-year-old Grant was averaging 22.8 points, six rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game in an increased role from his time with the Denver Nuggets.
He signed a stunning three-year, $60 million deal with the Pistons (officially a sign-and-trade) for general manager Troy Weaver’s first free agency splash.
The Pistons (0-4) and 0-5 Washington Wizards are the league’s only winless teams remaining.
