Game notes: Since it is triple-crown racing season, you can equate the final stretch of a horse race to the final stretch of the NBA’s regular season. Instead of figuring out who will win a prestigious horse race, it’s teams at the bottom of the barrel bidding for the top pick in the upcoming NBA draft. Entering Monday, the Pistons are locked into a top-3 spot for the June 22 draft lottery. Who is hanging on the outside at the No. 4 spot? The Orlando Magic. … Both teams are without multiple players, but the Pistons are certainly doing their best to match the depleted Magic on the injury report. Out for the Pistons: Wayne Ellington, Jerami Grant, Cory Joseph, Jahlil Okafor and Mason Plumlee. Rodney McGruder and Dennis Smith Jr. also remain out. Out for the Magic: Chuma Okeke, Terrence Ross and James Ennis III, among others.
